How the playoffs are determined.

Mid Iowa Youth Football League uses a point system based on win/loss records at the end of the regular season. Teams winning a game versus a team with a winning record receives 50 pts. Teams winning a game versus a team with a losing record receives 45 pts. Teams losing to a team with a winning record receives 30 points. Teams losing to a team with a losing record receives 25 points. Games ending in a tie both teams receive 35 points.

Example:

Team 1 has a record of 5-0, Team 2 has a record of 4-1, Team 3 has a record of 3-2, Team 4 has a record of 2-3, Team 5 has a record of 1-4, Team 6 has a record of 0-5.

Team 1 vs Team 2    Team 1 wins 14-0 Points received 50

Team 1 vs Team 3     Team 1 wins 14-0 Points received 50

Team 1 vs Team 4     Team 1 wins 14-0 Points received 45

Team 1 vs Team 5     Team 1 wins 14-0 Points received 45

Team 1 vs Team 6     Team 1 Wins 14-0 Points received 45

Team 1 would have 235 total points
